The wood is perfect, with no cracks or blemishes. The pitch is excellent, and it a pleasure to play. All pads are replaced with cork on the top joint and bladder lower. The keys are nickel with no finger wear, although there is slight oxidation from lack of use.

The tone is full and focused, like an R13 should sound. This is a seldom-used Buffet R13 from 1974. Everything is nice and tight.

Its like 1974 all over again. The key work is terrific, and there no play at all.
