Details:

The bell sports a conn 77 logo and no other markings and i'm unaware of any conn clarinets that were french stencils. I do not find open cracks.

Thanks and good luck, mike. I imagine many of you can recognize the maker from a look at the keyword i'd appreciate your help. I do see where the bottom tenon was cracked and glued at some point. But I don't know the skin on the pad is gone and some others of the white pads could go shortly.

I've been doing this for some time now and always try to pack very carefully and ship asap shipping charges are actual USPS or ups expense only no profit or handling charges. I cannot see other cracks that have been repaired, with or without pines. OK, so there it is, a conn 77 buffet Evert selmer other hybrid mongrel mix, wood en clarinet. There is plating loss to the keyword which all seems solid with no lateral motion as i've tried to show. The case looks to my un expert eye to bring buffet or buffet Evert to mind.

All of the pads are felt skin no cork pads, many have treated yellow skins and are in really good looking condition. The two main sections are marked made in france and I can play clarinet in the most rudimentary way but definitely cannot talk about nuances as far as sound, action and such. With a student mouthpiece and soft reed I can play this one down through the bottom of the range. Likewise the rings are at least a very good match to one another.

I've tried to show it in the photos and cannot see a pin if it was pinned it must be under the cork. But I could be wrong so I suspect the bell was replaced at some point along the way. There are no markings on the barrel that I can find.

Clearly the late music teacher who owned this clarinet thought enough of it to have good work done to keep it playing. In any case some of the white ones are going to be candidates for replacement soon according to my flute player's eyes. As to condition i've tried to show as much as possible in the photos.

As you can see the wood on all sections is a pretty close match if they aren't all matching original. I'm also not knowledgeable enough to know which maker built this horn back in the golden age of the clarinet.
