It plays great. I found it very good condition, no corrosion on any rods, bent parts, scratches or damages present past repairs. The tone is very rich, clean, response easy and intonation perfect. The wood en body is likewise perfect no scratches, cracks or anything else wrong.
Included is also a Branden Buffet swap for the cleaning of body after playing, still in packaging. Buffet Crampon Paris r-13 clarinet this is probably the most 'classic' model ever made.
They were so good I didn't want to replace them. It is so poplar that has been produced for decades now with no signs of 'slowing down. I could hardly put it down. I never played a clarinet where each tone against tuner was spot on like this one.
I used my own mouthpiece for the testing. This particular model was manufactured in may 1987 the Buffet factory france. This clarinet was kept in very good state by its former owner.
I added a Branden Buffet Crampon stock mouthpiece with ligature and cap. Not the cost of shipping it to you. Ensure that you account for when purchasing this clarinet. Considering my age I say this clarinet is 'too much for me' as no longer play publicly.
If the clarinet for some reason is not to your liking I am willing take it back and will return full purchase prize. The outside of case is leather which shows slight wear with a couple light scratches on front and one backside. I totally stand behind my restoration product.
I fully disassembled the clarinet, removed old pads, hand polished each key, oiled body with organic bore oil, installed new original Buffet Crampon corks where needed and regulated it to perfect playing condition. This pretty much covers everything.
Nothing special but Branden. But if you are looking for a 'like new' refurbished Buffet r-13 this clarinet could be. The nickel plating is perfect with no wear or scratches.
The corks where you put clarinet parts together are in perfect condition. The case interior is perfect, latches work though I don't have keys. They are perfect dimension, tight but not too and of course seal a Yamaha cork grease stick yellow cloth to be used clean the keys body outside after playing.
