I have loved this instrument and it has truly lived up to the task at hand. This Buffet Crampon R13 Bb Clarinet is a beautifully crafted instrument that produces rich, warm tone. This can be fixed by taking a silver-polishing cloth and applying it to the keys once removed from instrument. Using this mix of wood and carbon fiber resin composite, it is quite more resistant to cracking than a traditional wood en instruments.

There are no major problems with the instrument at all as I have play-tested it quite recently and will continue to until is purchased. That is one reason why this instrument so commonly used in military bands and ensembles outside. It also is equipped with the Silver-plated Key option.The clarinet itself made of a Grenadilla wood and Carbon Fiber composite resin. The main difference is that while the original R13s were made of solid wood, this instrument using Buffets Patented GreenLine technology.

As a musician currently working towards my bachelors degree in music performance, I had begun to need more complex instrument that could continue grown with me as progressed. While this instrument is pre-owned, it has had a amazing life with me and I have used consistently over the last 8 years of my growth in music. All of the keys work exceptionally well other than being slightly tarnished in some places from extensive use. This Buffet Crampon R13 Bb Clarinet is a must-have for any clarinet player who wants to take their music the next level and be owner of an exemplary instrument.

It is part of the GreenLine Series and has a stained polished finish. All of the pads and corks are new have been replaced within last year.
