I found Japanese script carved in to all joints that seem translate some thing like simper Fidel's the first part was translated ever lasting faith and last fighting force it odd would be. All new cork pads and one leather pad in bell they should last for 20 plus years. He was a very tall man in the second row right behind john PO. The bore looks excellent no scratches or water lines.
Sousa band I have found information on him in a book the incredible of john Philip by Edmund Berle page 47 picture e. I found and repaired one small hair line crack in the bell. There is some wear on the keys see pics key work in nickel silver conservatory system no left f with resonance range to low BB b c trill first octave second closes semi-automatic right and split ring banana all this oboe has been serviced, I have play tested made intonation adjustments. Other than that this oboe is crack free.
And a nice sweet tone plays free very little resistance.
