According to tom hunkier, the c series oboes have more undercutting of the tones holes than the b series oboes. C series Loree's have a great reputation. Us my favorite Loree vintages classic c series late 1960s, early 1970s lyrical, with a most appealing core to the sound. Hi, i'm selling my Loree oboe that I recently had completely overhauled by Brian Charles of Charles double reeds.

There was a tiny crack on the socket of the bell right beside the serial numbers that was repaired by Brian. This Loree is a late c series, CP78, and plays very well. Taken from oboes. Paul covey remarked the Loree c series is unlike anything else Loree has ever made.

This doesn't affect the playing ability whatsoever. Expect to pay premium prices for a fine examples of a Loree c series.

The original case was badly damaged and not usable, so I have used an extra Delmer oboe case that I had.
