I recently purchased a new violetwood Royal with gold keys, and as such, no longer have need for this oboe. And once on the back of the top joint, just below the thumb octave key where the thumb sits. It could use a good servicing and a few new pads to be in optimal playing condition, but it does play just fine with some effort around the low BB in its current state.
It has a lovely, dark sound, the silver plating is in perfect condition, and the mechanism moves easily. Loree violetwood Royal oboe regular bore, serial number qv92, made in a beautiful aquamarine silk covered custom case. I can provide extra pictures and recordings of myself playing this instrument at your request.
I am keeping the price comparatively low because it will need some minimal repair. I reupholster cases as a hobby, and let me tell you, this case and the oboe will turn some heads. You are looking at an. I have been the only owner of the instrument.
I will also include an old Loree case cover not pictured. The oboe itself was purchased in 2008, and was selected from a number of oboes.
It has cracked twice once in the usual place between the trill keys. These types of oboes are almost 10,000 new and around used, so don't miss this opportunity.
The case is the original that came with the oboe, but I removed the pyramid covering and purple interior and recovered and relined it with the aquamarine Chinese silk and black velvet.
