The wood upper and lower joints, barrel and bell are treated with multiple applications of bore oil inside and out. I have played and repaired clarinets for over 40 years and feel that most repair technicians cannot match this level of restoration. All old pads, key corks and tenon corks are removed and keys are placed into an ultrasonic cleaner to remove any buffing compound and other debris.
The clarinet then under goes a series of blow tests until it is optimally adjusted. Springs are re pensioned and any weak or broken springs are replaced. The keys, pads, and cork are adjusted to properly seat and seal.
