The plastic body of the clarinet is shinny black with no scratch marks, the gold lettering on the clarinet is clean easy read, the silver hardware is shinny, all the joints fit together snugly, there is no looseness between the pieces of the clarinet, all the pads look good, it has great key action, the cork all look new, the case is in great shape too, and it comes with a clean Yamaha mouthpiece.
