It has an American bore with 19 cork and 2 felt pads, a simplified conservatoire system semi automatic octave system, and silver plated nickel silver keys.
The lower joint and bell are of the same select quality grenadilla as the 441, but the upper joint is made of matte finish abs resin for crack proof durability.
An innovative concept in oboe design, the Yamaha yob 441p combines the best of features of both other model's for an oboe with rich warm grenadilla tone, yet which is highly resistant to cracking. A 400 eries case is included.
This model was created for players who prefer the natural resonance of grenadilla wood, but perform in conditions of less than ideal temperature and humidity.
